Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar greets Kanye West on a surprise visit to the club’s training ground
Paris Saint-Germain is a club used to having superstars both in their squad and in the stands to watch their games, but Ligue 1 leaders received a very special guest this week when Kanye West visited.
In town for Paris Fashion Week, West has been spotted at various events and venues in the French capital alongside his partner, actor Julia Fox.
West and Fox caused a little stir on social media when they greeted the Kenzo Men’s Fall/Winter 2022/2023 show with unusual double denim combos, and then a again at the Schiaparelli show in a fully coordinated leather ensemble.
But the hip-hop giant took a detour from the world of high fashion on Wednesday to visit PSG’s Camp des Loges training ground.
West meets with Neymar, who give the rapper his very own personalized PSG jersey, complete with his nickname and the number 10 on the back.
West will be happy to see Lionel Messi his shocking free transfer to PSG. Just a few weeks after Messi’s departure Barcelona in the French capital last August, West released his 10th studio album, “DONDA”, where the track “Off the Grid” includes the line:
“Don’t try to test me
I keep it clean, but they can be messy
I talk to God every day, that’s my friend
They play ball in my backyard. I think I see Messi”
West’s visit to PSG comes just days after he appeared to Hints on Instagram for an impending collaboration with the Jordan brand, which produces some of the PSG kits and accessories.
The rapper shared an image of the iconic “Jumpman” logo as well as a screenshot of a quote from Michael Jordan’s eldest son Marcus, in which the 31-year-old expressed his eagerness to see Jordan, West and producer DJ Khaled discuss a collaboration project this year.
As well as high fashion, West is getting more involved in football, was discovered in the crowd in Atlanta United’s MLS game against Columbus Crew July last year.
West set up a studio at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium when he set his sights on completing the piece “DONDA” with 2 Chainz among his collaborators. The album was scheduled to be released that day after debuting in front of 42,000 fans at the venue, only to have the release delayed.
So, with some time in Atlanta, West decided to take in a game with the group of Atlanta supporters, the Terminus Legion.
Unfortunately, despite having a makeup Grammy Award-winning artist in a bright red puffy suit and a pair of sweatpants overhead in the stands, Atlanta couldn’t avoid a tight 1-0 defeat.
