PlayStation releases top download of 2021 and sports game leads the pack

PlayStation released Top 20 PlayStation 5 downloads and PlayStation 4 downloads in 2021and as you might expect, sports games took home the platinum trophy.

On PS5, NBA 2K22 is the most downloaded PS5 game in the US and Canada in 2021 while in Europe it’s no surprise that FIFA 22 comes out on top. Call of Duty: Vanguard is the second-ranked game in both regions, which isn’t necessarily surprising since Call of Duty games have always sold well, but it’s pretty wild when a game is released in May. 11 is again the most downloaded game of the year. .

Along the same lines, Among Us is the most downloaded game of 2021 in the European Union, despite its December release.

In terms of PS4, Grand Theft Auto V is the most downloaded game in the US and Canada, while FIFA 22 also takes the top spot in the EU, just like its PS5 rival.
