PM Modi unveils $2.41 bn petrochemical complex at Dahej
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG including Ethane and Propane handling facilities worth over ₹206 billion (~$2.49 billion) at Dahej, Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a petrochemicals complex at Dahej, Gujarat, with an investment exceeding ₹200 billion (~$2.41 billion).
This complex, aimed at boosting hydrogen production and polypropylene demand in India, includes Ethane and Propane handling facilities.
It is strategically located near an existing LNG terminal.
Setting up of the Petrochemicals complex in the proximity to the existing LNG regasification terminal would result in significant savings in the capex and the opex cost of the project, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers said in a press release.
