Poco X4 models, Poco X4 NFC allegedly spotted on IMEI, could become trademark of Redmi Note 11 Pro
Poco X4 and Poxo X4 NFC smartphones are said to be in the works. These two handsets have been spotted on the IMEI database, hinting at a future launch. The company recently unveiled the Poco M4 Pro 5G earlier this month, and at the time, Poco confirmed that it would be the last smartphone launch of the year. To reiterate, the predecessor Poco X4 was launched last September and the successor is now long overdue. The IMEI database listing shows that the phones are in development, but it is unclear when they will be released.
Xiaomiui spot two phones – Poco X4 and Poco X4 NFC – on the IMEI database. The report shows that the model numbers 2201116PG and 2201116PI were detected on the IMEI, with the former for the global market and the latter for the Indian market. Model number 2201116PG is said to launch as Poco X4 NFC, while 2201116PI could launch as Poco X4 in India. IMEI certification doesn’t reveal much about the two smartphones beyond this.
In addition to IMEI detection, the report also adds that the Chinese Redmi Note 11 Pro model will be renamed Poco X4 for global markets. From the Redmi Note 11 series released in China recently, the Redmi Note 11 has been announced in the global market as Poco M4 Pro 5G. It is likely that the company could also adopt the same roadmap for the Poco X4.
Currently, there is very little leaked information about the Poco X4. Likely to see technical upgrades from its predecessor Poco X3 It’s a Released in September 2020. The Poco X3 has a 120Hz refresh rate display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC. It has a quad-camera setup at the back and packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
