Poland receives MQ-9 Reaper drones
The country’s Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said Poland has received MQ-9A Reaper multi-role drones, powered by jet engines and reconnaissance (ISR).
“The MQ-9A Reaper MALE (Medium High Endurance) drone has been delivered to Poland, leased from the United States as part of an urgent operational need,” the minister wrote on Twitter on Sunday. .
He also noted that the new drones will be used in the Air Force, conducting reconnaissance, among others, on Poland’s eastern border.

Reaper is used primarily as an intelligence gathering asset. It has an endurance of more than 27 hours, a speed of 240 KTAS and can operate at altitudes up to 50,000 feet. It has a payload capacity of 3,850 pounds (1,746 kg) including 3,000 pounds (1,361 kg) of the outside outlet. It provides durable, long-lasting surveillance with Full Motion Video and Synthetic Aperture Radar/Moving Target Indicator/Marine Radar.
