Just before graduation, the Devin family moved into a lower apartment in a two-family home on West Brown Avenue in Kellogg, across from the assisted living facility where his mother worked as a cook. The apartment above has long been owned by Majorjon Kaylor, 31, his wife Kaylie Kaylor, two teenage daughters and a younger son.
“We share a backyard,” Kaylie posted on a Facebook page she has since made private. “My children are on their side but they are out there a lot. They jump on a trampoline with water jets. Almost every time the eldest son went out on his porch and seemed to be watching them. I tried to brush it off because it was their yard too but my biological mother couldn’t shake it off.”
On June 13, 10 days after graduation, Kaylie called the police to report that Devin had been in contact with her girls. She then posted an account of the incident on Facebook. She said she was outside with the girls when one of them said she saw a boy in the window downstairs.
Kaylie wrote: “I said yes, it’s their home, it’s okay and she won’t be a mother, the boy is shaking his penis!,” Kaylie wrote. “This guy is looking straight out the window at me and my girls and beating him d#$%. I saw his naked body jump onto my bunk bed and back.
“I immediately ran to call the major down to knock on the window, the major was away, so the major went to the front door and knocked a few times before seeing the door open. I am distraught.
She wrote that she and her husband called the police.

Kaylie added that when the police arrived, Devin started crying and insisted that he had just gotten dressed.
Kaylie wrote: “Never in my life have I seen anyone dressed like that. He knew what he did and so did we.
Police took the case to the Shoshone County Prosecutor with a recommendation that Devin be charged with indecent contact. Nothing was done for reasons only the prosecutor’s office could explain, and so far not. In the meantime, Kaylie cut and pasted an image of Devin wearing a cap and gown from her graduation that has caused an uproar on social media about all things transgender.
“This is the sick guy who made eye contact with my daughter while masturbating and exposing himself,” she wrote. “I also had issues with him before,” wrote Savannah Higgins. “I tried to ask the school to do something about it, but all they did was slap him on the wrist… He took pictures of the girls at our school and worse. It’s scary and unsettling, especially now that he’s out of society. Keep your kids safe. I tried to get a restraining order against him years ago when I first had a problem with him and it was denied because I couldn’t ‘deny a child’s right to go to school’. Keep safe.”
On June 18, Kaylie posted a will for her husband, who is spending Father’s Day working underground as a miner.

Majorjon was arrested and charged with murder and ordered to be held without bail. His next hearing is on July 3. The prosecution has filed court papers stating they will not seek the death penalty.
Nowhere in the affidavit does Majorjom express remorse for killing Devin’s brother. Aiken is appreciated as much as Devin dislikes. Aiken reported in a social media post late last year that he was a member of his school’s Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
A friend reported online that he spoke to Aiken shortly before the shooting. The friend said Aiken talked about how bad his brother was. The other kids talked until it all ended the way things usually do when guns are involved.
On Friday, Amanda Rae Hooker, whose daughter graduated with Devin in a delayed ceremony that briefly made Kellogg the focus of culture wars, shed blood on Father’s Day for an owner.
