Princess Charlotte Wears Breton Stripes With Kate Middleton
Princess Charlotte is following in her mother’s stylish footsteps as she attends the 2nd Commonwealth Games with Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The seven-year-old was spotted in the crowd wearing a black and white striped flared dress complete with a white Peter Pan neck as she sat watching the hot swim at the Sandwell Aquatics Center in Birmingham. Wearing Breton stripes with white La Coqueta sandals and braided hair, she looked like a little princess.
This marks the first time Charlotte has joined her parents without her brother, and she’s definitely dressed up for the occasion. Her Rachel Riley dress perfectly complemented her mother’s monochrome outfit. Kate Middleton wore a chic white Alexander McQueen suit that she first wore on tour in the Caribbean earlier this year. She styled it over a fitted white shirt, with Mappin & Webb white gold earrings and a matching brand necklace, and added a white belt to accentuate her waist. . Middleton’s hair was styled into soft waves and she wore a black eyeliner.
Princess Charlotte was seen pulling a series of animated expressions on her face as she watched the sporting event, reminiscent of the agitated expressions shown by her brothers: Prince George, 9, at Wimbledon and Prince Louis, age 4, at Platinum Jubilee.
The Commonwealth Games marks the second event this week that has seen Princess Charlotte show how much she is a sports fan. She filmed a video with Prince William’s dad to support the Lionesses, wishing the British women’s soccer team the best of luck ahead of the Euro final on Sunday, July 31.
