Priyanka Gandhi breaks Punjab government silence under Amarinder Singh, says was run by BJP in center
New Delhi:
Congressman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has broken her silence on the government of Amarinder Singh in Punjab, saying it has “changed” because it is “run by the BJP from the Center”. Without naming Mr. Singh, a longtime Gandhi loyalist, Mrs. Gandhi Vadra said: “We knew something was wrong. So we changed the leadership.”
“We’ve got Charanjit Singh Channi, who is one of you. He knows and feels your problems,” added the senior leader of Parliament while campaigning in Punjab today.
It was the first time that either of the Gandhi brothers – who had jointly supported Navjot Sidhu through the uprising against Mr Singh – broke their silence on changing protections in Punjab.
