PUBG: Battlegrounds adds the feature of resurrecting teammates and clans in patch 23.2

PUBG: Battlefield is changing the rules around player death in battle royale, bringing a new respawn system to the game called Recall. This mechanic will allow players to resurrect a dead teammate and will help “reduce the frustration of dying while playing as a team,” PUBG: Battlefield PUBG Studios developer said.

PUBG Studios is also providing official guild support for PUBG: Battlefield with patch 23.2.

PUBG: Battlefield‘ the new Recall system is mostly straightforward and comes with the necessary level of risk and rarity that such a high-impact change warrants. The other major feature in patch 23.2 is Clans, which provides PUBG: Battlefield players a new level progression system. Up to 100 players can join a clan, which offers XP and Battle Points (BP) rewards when playing with clan friends. Starting a clan requires Plus Status and costs 15,000 BP, but joining a clan is completely free.

Polygon: What led to the decision to implement a Revocation? Is this a technical challenge for the team?

Taehyun Kim: We chose to introduce a new Callback system, much like Comeback BR, to give second chances to those eliminated early in the match and reduce the frustration often associated with death during team play. . We hope that Recall will promote more dynamic, strategic gameplay with increased variables and provide more gameplay experience.

Unlike Comeback BR, where you have to secure your second chance, your chance of re-entering the game in Recall is entirely up to your remaining teammates. Their role is very important in this system, which we believe will make the gameplay more accessible, especially for less experienced players.

Did you see the Recall change the flow or the outcome of the matches during the test?

Taehyun Kim: In our internal tests, we often observed situations where a nearly defeated team managed to get all of its teammates re-entered the game, then delivered a great performance. strong acting.

We also noticed more dynamic and strategic gameplay situations occurring near the Blue Chip Tower. For example, a team that tries to recall a teammate will sometimes be completely eliminated after a fierce battle near the tower. Approximately how many Blue Chip Towers appear in each stage or match?

Taehyun Kim: Blue Chip towers will appear randomly on the map, with about 22 towers appearing regardless of stage or match.

However, your ability to use these towers will depend on the flight path and position of the circle.

What are the rules around spawning a Blue Chip Transmitter? How popular are they?

Taehyun Kim: Blue Chip Transmitter is a high value item so it will be extremely rare for it to appear on the map. If luck does not favor the player, it is possible that the whole match will not be able to use it. Its rarity is comparable to the Flare Gun.

The Clan system is like a huge boost to players’ XP/BP earnings — why such a high incentive?

Sangkyun Kim: Clan benefits are provided when you play as a team with your clan members. By playing together, you’ll get double bonus XP, which will level up your clan faster, as well as a 30% increase in BP.

PUBG: Battlefield It’s more fun to play as a team, that’s why we decided to develop the Clan system, making it easier for players to find teammates.

To facilitate this, we offer various incentives to encourage players to play with members of their clan. Playing together earns you Guild XP as a clan member and increases your HA as an individual player. This arrangement is designed to benefit both guilds and individual players.

Just to be clear, Clan XP is only used to upgrade Clan levels, not Survival Mastery. Survival Mastery is a measure of an individual player’s reputation and honor, so we decided not to include it in Clan benefits.

Do you have a roadmap for clan development in the future?

Sangkyun Kim: While we haven’t made any concrete decisions yet, there are a few ideas that we would like to explore.

The current Clan system is built with the minimum specs possible as we needed to introduce it quickly. As such, we plan to implement future features that we initially had to exclude, such as the enhanced Clan Search feature.

We also believe that the sustainability of a clan depends on the members being able to cultivate a sense of belonging. With this in mind, we are looking at various interesting elements that are likely to strengthen this sense of community among clan members.
