PUBG: New Status Update 0.9.23 With New Game Modes, New Weapons, Season 1 Battle Pass Announced

PUBG: New State is receiving an update that brings a new game mode and weapon, weapon customization, among other improvements to the game. The new game mode that Krafton announced is set on the map Drift and will only have 64 players in a match. PUBG: New State players will also get the P90 SMG with a 5.7mm magazine along with new gun customization options and improved weapon balance. Season 1 of the Battle Pass of the newly launched battle royale game will also begin when the update goes live.

Krafton announced update 0.9.23 for PUBG: New Status through a blog post. The update is rolling out next week but the developer has detailed all the new features and improvements that come with it.

Most importantly, PUBG: New State is having a new game mode – BR: Extreme. In this match, only 64 players participate and will start with a P1911 pistol, a smoke grenade, 300 Drone Credits and a fully charged boost meter. Players are limited to a smaller area in the Drift map, which will be randomly selected during each match. It is set in the battle royale genre and each match will last 20 minutes.

Two Care Packs will be delivered from the start, and the match will have more vehicles and loot items. BR: Extreme will deploy players from a lower height, deploying drones faster, and shortening team redeployment time.

PUBG: New Bang is also getting a new P90 submachine gun (SMG). It uses a new ammo – 5.7mm – which will also be added to the Drone Store in the game. The new weapon will be equipped with a level 2 transform scope and an accompanying suppressor. However, it cannot be modified with other attachments.

New weapon enhancements in PUBG: New State include a new suppressor or flash buffer for the DP-28 rifle and a light weapon load for the M762 assault rifle. Krafton has also improved the bullet spread of pistols and pistols when fired mid-air. Besides, the loading time of L85A3 has also been reduced.

Weapon customizations include reduced ammo spread for the M416 assault rifle. M762 and M16A4 customizations will no longer reduce bullet speed and recoil control, respectively. Customization of the DSR-1 sniper rifle will not reduce the bullet speed but will increase the vertical recoil.

Krafton has also improved player actions and animations in PUBG: New State. Players will get new Parkour Roll and Sudden Dash moves. There are also some other improvements to the Balanced Mode.

Finally, Season 1 of the Battle Pass will begin when the update rolls out next week. Krafton has upgraded the rewards for achieving Contenders, Masters, and Conqueror. There will also be improved match scores and tiered benchmarks.
