Queen Mathilde of Belgium re-dresses Anita Dongre during her visit to Muscat
Anita Dongre is one of the names mentioned when it comes to Indian designer who have put Indian fashion on the global map, with RoyalFamous actors and politicians often wear her costumes.
Recently, Queen Mathilde of Belgium was seen wearing an Anita Dongre piece when she visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat with King Phillipe.
King combine the floor-length dress, with variations of red with a hint of blue, with a red scarf and metallic gold, pointed toe shoes. The dress has embroidered bodice and textures throughout its length. She also carries a clutch.
However, this is not the first time she has worn the uniform. During her state visit to India in 2017, the Queen wore the same dress, accompanied by an elegant pair of pearl drop earrings and an elegant bun.
During a 2017 visit, Queen Mathilde was also seen in a blue maxi dress by the same designer. The ‘Tree of Life’ dress featured Rajasthani ‘khejri’ dress motif which she styled with gold dangling earrings and gold bracelets.
