Quick recipe: This Aloo Sabji Made In Cooker can be part of your next meal
Raise your hand if you’re someone who doesn’t like to cook fancy meals. Well, we’ve all been there at some point. After a long day at work, all we long for is healthy home-cooked meals that are not only delicious and nutritious, but also easy to make. Now, what could be better than preparing some classic aloo ki sabji? So today we’ve brought a wale aloo ki sabji kitchen recipe by chef Ranveer Brar. The special thing about this recipe is that it doesn’t take much of your time and can be easily prepared in the pot.

Element:
For crushed chili and ginger:
1) Green chili – 2
2) Ginger – 1 inch
3) Salt to taste
For main Pot wali sabji
1) Ghee – 2 tablespoons
2) Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp
3) Prepared chili and ginger
4) Asafoetida – tablespoon
5) Degi red chili powder – 1 tbsp
6) Turmeric powder – tablespoon
7) Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
8) Tomatoes (large) – 2 (medium size)
9) Potatoes (large) – 2 to 3 (medium size)
10) Ghee – 1 tablespoon
11) Fresh coriander leaves
12) Lemon wedge
Here’s how you can prepare pot wale aloo ki sabji:
1) First of all, you take a mortar and pestle and then add green chili, ginger and salt and pound it finely. Set aside the crushed chili and ginger mixture for further use.
2) Now you need to start making the main course. Heat a little buttermilk in a saucepan and add the cumin seeds, crushed peppers, ginger, and asafoetida one at a time. Toss the seasonings together, including degi red chili powder, turmeric, and coriander powder. Speak for at least a minute.
3) Gradually add the tomatoes and sauté the masala until you start to smell and the tomatoes are a little softer.
4) This is the main ingredient of the recipe – potatoes. Add the potatoes, along with some buttermilk and water. Stir the curry well and then cover the pressure cooker. You need to cook it under pressure for about 2-3 whistles then turn off the heat. Let it cool down.
5) After you open the lid, mash some potatoes with a masher and then boil the curry for a minute.
6) The final step will include adding coriander leaves and lime juice to the curry. Your potato sabji is ready!
7) Serve hot in a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves and lemon on top.
