Ranked radio stations from every modern Fallout game

One of the defining features of modern Fallout games is being able to listen to the radio while walking around the Wasteland. Of course, the radio station is full of sweet tunes for you to enjoy, but the radio host usually takes the mic to share some interesting world-building information and accompany players along the way. Go. Many of these songs appear on Amazon Prime Fall out series — but which radio station is the best Listen?

For obvious reasons, we only counted radio stations with hosts and music — so no mysterious broadcasts or tragic monologues.

7. Agatha's Station (Fallout 3)

Agatha comes from a family of talented musicians, and she wants to share her beautiful classical music with the entire Wasteland. She's adorable – and it's so cool that she'll scream at her friends, like the player or a guy named Crazy Wolfgang. Unfortunately, her station is a snorer. 6. Radio Enclave (Fallout 3)

One of the first signals the player receives is Enclave Radio, where President John Henry Eden converses softly with the people of the Wasteland. These lengthy speeches were interspersed between patriotic songs to stimulate the blood. This is one of the great examples of radio being used for world-building, but the novelty wears off once you get to all of Eden's speeches.

5. Appalachian Radio (Fallout 76)

Main radio station of Radioactive fallout 76, Appalachian Radio has good listening ability. “Mr. Sandman,” “Mister Five by Five” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” are all great productions. Appalachian Radio later acquired a host with Wasteful people update, a polite young woman named Julie. It also includes a bunch of music from previous games, so it's perfectly pleasant but not groundbreaking.

4. Radio Utobitha Free (Fallout: New Vegas)

The station appears as Black Mountain Radio, but tuning the station reveals a super mutant in front of the microphone. Tabitha, the tyrant in charge of Utobitha, plays the robot Mr. Broken Handy is named Rhonda and then interviews herself. You can do it only music from Radio Free Utobitha from Mojave Music Radio, if you are human Coward. Personally, I found Bang Utobitha to be one of the funniest parts of New Vegasand I would listen to her thinly veiled propaganda for hours.

3. Radio New Vegas (Fallout: New Vegas)

New Vegas Radio is directed by Mr. New Vegas, a host so cold and unflappable that he seems too good to be true. In a fun nod to the game's real-world inspiration, Vegas-based entertainer Wayne Newton voices Mr. New Vegas, sharing both news and music. The playlist is equally sharp, with classics like “Blue Moon,” “Big Iron,” “Heartaches by the Number,” and “Something's Gotta Give.” It would be nice if there was more variety, but this is a solid choice.

2. Diamond City Radio (Fallout 4)

The commonwealth is served by Diamond City Radio, hosted by the nervous and underrated Travis. This channel has some great music, with lots of rock hits and fun tunes. A mission later in the game asks the player to help Travis and he can become a suitable host with an inspiring tone and real confidence. Additionally, if the player kills Travis, a kid from Diamond City will take over and use it as an excuse to advertise his purified water business. Diamond City Radio feels the most reactive of all the stations, and it's fun to transform a downtrodden young man into smooth Travis “Lonely” Miles on the air.

1. Galaxy News Radio (Fallout 3)

This is the station that introduced the concept of a radio channel to modern Fallout, and is the main reason why the concept persists. The player begins listening to DJ Three Dog immediately after emerging from their Vault and eventually needs to find him to continue the player's quest to find his father. Three Dog is one cool guy – he even inspired the classic Travis from radioactive fallout 4 – but if the player kills him, he will be replaced by the considerably more sure-footed Margaret, who replaces her cheerful updates with complaints about her boss being murdered. Galaxy News Radio remains iconic and helped set the standard for the rest of the stations.
