Ravindra Jadeja Says “It’s Far From Going” After Testing Retirement Rumors

The India Test Team is on its way to South Africa on Thursday for a three-match series against Proteas, starting December 26. Two big names in the Indian team – newly appointed vice-captain Rohit Sharma and comprehensive Ravindra Jadeja – went missing during the team’s flight to South Africa as both were previously eliminated from the Test series with injuries. Rohit injured his hamstring during a training session ahead of the South Africa tour while Jadeja was diagnosed with a right forearm injury in the first test match against New Zealand.
Before the series in South Africa, Dainik Jagran reported that Jadeja’s “very serious” injury will require an operation that could effectively rule him out for four to six months, so he could quit Test cricket to prolong his career his white shadow.
Although Jadeja did not directly address the rumors of Test’s retirement, he effectively refuted the speculations with two separate tweets on Wednesday.
The almighty shared a photo that reads “You fake believe the rumors. You really believe in you”, right before sharing the image of himself in the India jersey with the caption ” There’s still a long way to go.”

The 33-year-old has become India’s first-choice spinner on overseas tours in recent times, playing all four Tests in the UK earlier this year, where the legendary spinner former Ravichandran Ashwin has been eliminated from India’s XI.
The left-hander made 232 wickets tests for India in 57 games. He’s also impressed with the bat over the past few years, scoring 2195 runs in 57 Tests, including 17 tenths and one hundredths.
