Real Madrid willing to wait until June 2022 to sign Paris Saint-Germain front Kylian Mbappe, instead of submitting a bid in January, say Mundo Deportivo.
Mbappe, 22, has a contract that expires next summer and if he doesn’t sign a new one he is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Madrid, or any other club outside of Ligue 1. 1, in January with a free move target.
Although his contract is about to expire, Madrid made a final offer of 200 million euros to sign Mbappe in August but received no response from PSG, a source close to the LaLiga club told ESPN.
Mbappe has been Real Madrid’s top transfer target for several seasons, sources say. The club has carefully managed its spending – no transfer fees have been paid to first-team players since 2019, other than the departure of Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Martin Odegaard this summer – in preparation for the arrival of Mbappe.
NS France international made it clear that he wanted to move to Madrid and will not renew his contract with PSG although the club are still trying to convince him to stay in Paris longer.

10.11 GMT: Juventus are considering a move to sign Julian Alvarez from River Plate during the January transfer window, according to ESPN Argentine reporter Gustavo Yarroch.
Yarroch says that there have been informal talks between the clubs with the Italian giants wanting to pay around 15 million euros upfront plus 10 million euros for add-ons, this will depend on certain terms.
However, River will demand his €20m release clause which will increase to €25m if the offer arrives within the final 10 days of the transfer window.
09.45 GMT: Sport1 said that the conversation between Bayern Munich and the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer through a new contract in progress.
Neuer, 35, wants to extend his contract until 2025 and there is mutual agreement at the club that he should stay.
08.51 GMT: Portuguese club Benfica have denied reports that they are looking to change coaches and stressed the coach Jorge Jesus will remain at the helm at least until next summer.
Benfica, who face Barcelona at Camp Nou next week in the Champions League, are third in the Primeira Liga, one point behind leaders FC Porto. They finished third in Group E Champions League after a 5-2 defeat to Bayern Munich on November 2.
Reports in Portugal claim Benfica has been in contact with coach Vitoria SC Pepa to replace Jorge Jesus, who returns to the club in 2020 from Flamengo.
But a club statement said: “The strategy of spreading lies to divide Benfica fans reached an intolerable dimension earlier this week. It is false that Benfica is preparing to leave Jorge Jesus from the team’s technical leadership. It is wrong that Benfica has established relationships with other people their coaches or agents.
“Such a lie seriously disrespects not only Benfica and coach Jorge Jesus, but also Vitoria SC, coach Pepa and, not least, all the fundamentals of journalism. and focus on the goal we all want: to win. Always win!”
08.30 GMT: Villarreal’s president, Fernando Roig, hopes that the teenage midfielder Yeremi Pino will continue at the club beyond 2027 after extending his contract for a further three seasons.
“It’s a great satisfaction for us,” Roig said in a press conference. “He is a very important player for Villarreal, an example of what we want. He came from Las Palmas at the age of 14 and after five years he went to the national team.”
Yeremi, 19, helped Villarreal win the Europa League last season in his debut campaign with the first team. He has scored twice in 15 appearances in all competitions for Villarreal this season and also secured a place in the Spain national team. Real Madrid is one of the clubs showing interest in Yeremi.
“If in the future there is an offer, we will evaluate it as we did,” said Roig. “But my wish is that Yeremi will extend his contract before 2027. He has a long career ahead of him.”
Yeremi, meanwhile, says he is unfazed by his release clause which has increased to 80 million euros. “I don’t care about the terms,” he said. “I want to be here for many more years. I am very happy with what they have given me and want to give this club what it deserves.”
