Realme GT 2 Series global launch confirmed on February 28, will debut at Mobile World Congress 2022
The global launch of the Realme GT 2 series has been confirmed. Realme’s flagship series of phones will launch on the opening day of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 next week. The flagship smartphone series from Realme includes two models – the vanilla Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro. Both devices were launched in China in early January. The vanilla Realme GT 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC while the Realme GT 2 Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It remains to be seen whether the global version of the smartphone will be different from their Chinese models.
Through a press release and a tweet, Myself confirm that Realme GT 2 The series will premiere globally on February 28 at 9am GMT (2:30pm IST). The flagship smartphone series will launch on the opening day of MWC 2022 and the event can be streamed live on Realme UK’s Twitter and YouTube channel. There is no mention of a dedicated launch in India yet, but Realme CEO Madhav Sheth It was suggested earlier this month that the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro will launch in India at a very early date.

Debut in China earlier this year, it remains to be seen whether the global version of the Realme GT 2 series will have the same specifications as the Chinese version. In particular, it has a Snapdragon 888 SoC processor, along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory.

The front of the phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. In terms of connectivity, Realme’s flagship smartphone has Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth v5.2 and NFC connectivity. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

The Realme GT 2 Pro has a 6.7-inch 2K (1,440×3,216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. In terms of connectivity, the Realme GT 2 Pro supports Wi-Fi 6, 5G and NFC. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
