Minister of Uttar Pradesh appointed by Yogi Adityanath has invited former Ministers Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati for his grand swearing-in ceremony later today. He also phoned Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav about the event.

Yogi Adityanath prepares to be sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with two Vice Ministers again. Keshav Prasad Maurya, who lost the election, is being retained as deputy minister but Dinesh Sharma, who is not participating in this council election, has been replaced by Brajesh Pathak. Mr. Pathak, Law Minister during Yogi Adityanath’s first term, was a Brahmin who won his second election from a seat in Lucknow.

Hours before Yogi Adityanath’s swearing-in ceremony, many newly elected MLAs and MLCs arrived at the Prime Minister’s residence. The meeting sparked much speculation about his new ministers.

Jitin Prasada, Satish Sharma, Brajesh Pathak, AK Sharma, Asim Arun, Dinesh Khatik, Arun Valmiki, Ashish Patel, Sanjay Nishad, Dayashankar Singh, Salil Vishnoi, Yogendra Upadhyaya, Kapil Dev Agrawal, Ravindra Jaiswal and Baby Raniiswala Ministers hope who came. BJP has maintained power in Uttar Pradesh by winning 255 out of 403 constituencies, securing 41.29% share of the vote. Yogi Adityanath, who led his party to a landslide victory, will be the first Premier in 37 years to return to power after completing his official state term.

On Thursday, he was elected head of the legislative party ahead of the swearing-in ceremony today. Immediately after his election, he met Governor Anandiben Patel and asked to form a government in the state.

The swearing-in ceremony of the minister and his cabinet will be held on Friday, attended by Prime Minister Modi. Preparations are underway for thousands of guests, including senior party leaders, Union Ministers and Heads of BJP-ruled states.

Several Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut and Boney Kapoor, have also received invitations to the grand swearing-in ceremony. The team of the recently released controversial Hindi film “The Kashmir Files” has also been invited. Actor Anupam Kher and director Vivek Agnihotri are expected to attend.

Interior Minister Amit Shah and BJP Director JP Nadda will also attend the grand event. All current and past BJP Heads of State have been invited.

The ANI news agency, citing sources, said about 85,000 people will attend the grand ceremony. A large stage has been erected and posters have been plastered with readable slogans ‘Naye Bharat ka Naya UP‘(New UP of New India).

The ceremony will be held at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow at 4pm.
