Red danger battles to win at Pulpit
Silverton Hill’s Red Danger , the runner-up in Street Sense passed Churchill Downs main track for the last time out, returned to the winning pitch with a $75,000 Pulpit bet on December 3 at Gulfstream Park.
Pulpit, a 2-year-old grass mile, co-founded the opening day of the 2021-22 Meet Championship with $75,000 Wait a, a minor grass mile bet.
Red Danger’s tough win opens up the possibility that coach Brian Lynch could decide to score the son of the 2013 Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1) and Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brand Winner (G1) Globe towards upcoming shares of Gulfstream for 3-year-olds.
“It’s a pipe dream. Is he as good now as some of the others? That quest is here to be answered,” Lynch said. “But he’s honest as they come and is a model of steadfastness. He’s an honest horse that always delivers. Today, we’re going to enjoy today.”
Red Danger, 4-5’s favorite, settled in the middle of the pack under the lead of Julien Leparoux before making a sweeping move in the innings to set up a winning track in which he I have passed the pacesetter Biz Biz Buzz and prevent an external challenge from Boy Scouts said with a head.
“You have to love a little pony that does his best and take him away every time you lead him over there,” says Lynch. “It was a great way to start the Championship Encounter. He was our first runner-up and it’s great it won.”
Red Danger, who broke his girlhood on the pitch and merged the Global Juniors on the pitch at Kentucky Downs, run second later Howl time in the street feeling 1/16 mile on the trail.
“That’s the main thing with him, he just kept fighting. He was probably a better grass horse, but even when on the ground last time, he tried hard and dug deep and run a great second,” Leparoux said. “He’s definitely a brat.”
Red Danger dominates Pulpit even though Leparoux drops his crop midway.
“It’s great to see him succeed.” Julien said he dropped the whip. He could have been better. He may have learned something.”
The scout talked about the runner-up who finished half the length before Biz Biz Buzz.
