Revealing the interior of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse 2024
Ford finally detailed the interior of the Australia-focused track Mustang Dark Horse almost five months after it was first revealed.

Blue Oval claims the titanium gearshift knob for this six-speed manual is hollow and “not hot to the touch” like similar aluminum knobs.
Customers who choose a 10-speed automatic transmission instead of a 6-speed manual will receive silver-plated gearshift paddles behind the steering wheel.
Other interior features include a suede-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, leather-wrapped electronic “floating brake” with anodized gearshift lever, prominent glossy metal trim elements, and fiber trim. carbon on the instrument cluster and door panels, and blue stitching on the dashboard, door panels, seats, gearshift paddles and center console.
There’s even a plaque on the dashboard with the vehicle’s chassis number on it.
Ford will offer an optional Dark Horse appearance package with Recaro performance seats finished in black Dinamica suede and dark blue cushions adorned with bright indigo blue accent stitching.
There are also dark indigo blue seats and “special” perforated seats with blue accents underneath.
In addition to revealing the interior of the Mustang Dark Horse, Ford also detailed the process of creating its signature color.
Blue Ember is a metallic shade with “special effects” pigments of deep blue, mixed with warm amber. It is said to have a very dramatic color shift at different angles and lighting.

It’s unclear when the Mustang Dark Horse will arrive Down Under, but the core range will launch in late 2023.
The Mustang Dark Horse can be distinguished externally by its unique bonnet graphics, front splitter, brembo brakes and distinctive spoiler.
Ford recent detailed outputs for US Mustangs, with Dark Horse in production 373kW power and 567Nm torque from it Coyote V8 naturally aspirated 5.0 liters.
It has a unique crankshaft and forged connecting rods compared to the V8 used in the standard GT. Ford claims the Dark Horse’s engine has been tuned by Ford Performance to suit the track and can withstand continuous driving near the 7500 rpm red line.
Underneath the skin, the Dark Horse also gets a Torsen limited-slip differential and a larger swingarm at the rear, along with a more serious strut tower brace and new shock absorbers up front.
The spec sheet for the Dark Horse in the US seems to be in line with what is meant to be Down Under in the upcoming Mustang Mach 1.
It was billed as a track-oriented version of the GT before Ford Australia downsized its specs, apologizing to customers and offer incentives to those who keep their order, and pay the fine from ACCC for deceit.
Production of the seventh-generation Mustang will soon begin at the company’s plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. Sales will begin in the US from mid-2023, with the first deliveries in Australia expected to arrive late next year.
