Located in a stylish location at the Taj Mahal hotel, the restaurant offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere that makes you want to visit it more than once. The seating is simple yet luxurious with an atmosphere reminiscent of the Ming dynasty and the famous Ming princess, when you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in a beautiful ancient Chinese palace Country.
Food and drink
House of Ming’s menu offers a wide range of Asian dishes. Our first choices from the menu are Hot and Sour soup and Manchow, supplemented with carefully chopped seasonal vegetables. It is made for a light appetizer. Then the soups were followed by Golden Garlic Scallops and Prawns from the Dim Sum section. The golden garlic scallops are stuffed with minced scallops, water chestnuts and yellow garlic, while the Black Tiger Prawns are wrapped in traditional starchy wrappers, golden leaves and served with a ginger green onion sauce. Both dim sum dishes had a lot of flavor and got us hooked on dim sum, so we decided to try some more but this time from the vegetarian section. We tried the Edamame Smoked Chilli dim sum and the truffle oil, cheese, and mushroom dim dum. Edamame smoked chili is sure to remind you of your favorite chaat; only it is Chinese and healthier. Another appetizer is steamed asparagus, chili mustard & tau sou; a dish that has given a twist to the asparagus we so often love – it’s definitely the highlight of the starter menu.

For the main line, we have Sesame minced chicken, fresh red pepper and Szechuan eggplant with shrimp fried rice and hand torn chicken noodles. Both main dishes are quite popular among Asian cuisines and need no introduction. And since we wanted it to be easy, both main dishes fit the bill – comforting and full of flavor.
For desserts, you can definitely enjoy the rustic rice cakes. The sweet sticky rice will leave a delicious aftertaste for your nutritious Asian meal. We recommend trying Citron – a citrus center and mille-feuille cheese!
