Roguelite Vampire Survivors 1.0 has two new modes, Twitch integration
Vampire Survivors‘the official release adds even more content to the surprisingly powerful game. Poncle developer shared Full patch notes on the game’s Steam pageand it includes new achievements, new weapons, new event stages, more music, and two new scary modes not for the faint of heart – one of which adds Twitch integration.
Inverse mode is exactly what it sounds like; the stage layout is now upside down. Players earn more and have more luck, but enemies also die much more with a starting increase of +200% max health and 5% extra max health per minute. For the truly dedicated, there is an Endless mode that restarts waves of enemies as soon as the Reaper usually arrives. Enemies appear in greater numbers and take more damage, making survival a more difficult task.
Players can also do Twitch chat. Twitch mode is available in the options menu; enter your Twitch channel name in the text box and connect, and you’ll be good to go. Viewers can choose leveling decisions, special commands like re-roll, and secret events.
Vampire Survivors had a humble beginning and exploded in popularity. In the patch notes, Poncle briefly discusses the future of the studio, stating that “support for WITH will continue. As predicted in the v1.0 announcement, we’ll need to make some QOL improvements on niche mechanics like Eggs and Limit Breaks, along with finishing up the engine port. But brand new features are also in the works… […] We’ll finish the real VS only when I – or you – get tired of it. “
