The Rudra: The Edge of Darkness trailer and release date is here – the show ends on March 4. On Monday as promised, Disney + Hotstar announced the second trailer for the series. the next original Hotstar Specials led by Ajay Devgn. If some of that sounds weird to you, it’s because Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is the official remake of the British crime television series led by Idris Elba Luther – which ran for five short seasons on BBC One and is likely to have a follow-up in 2022 – which has previously also been adapted in France, Russia and South Korea. (An American version with Mahershala Ali and Rosario Dawson was made, but never materialized.) The Rudra: The Edge of Darkness trailer isn’t quite as promising, with Devgn blaring out general dialogue. generic and failed to convey Elba’s grit. And Khanna doesn’t come close to Ruth Wilson’s charismatic performance from Luther.
