Rujuta Diwekar Joins Karisma and Kareena Kapoor for the Drool-Deserving Maharashtrian Meal
Everyone knows that the Kapoor sisters – Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan – are foodies. The sisters are quite undeterred about their love for delicious dishes. Their social media posts are filled with their passion. And guess? They just enjoyed a hearty meal. Karisma shared an Instagram post about her “Maharashtrian eating day”. She had a great time enjoying a variety of mouth-watering authentic dishes in the company of her close sister and celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar. The first thing we see is a photo of all three posing for the shot. However, the carousel also shows a frame with the subject of the Maharashtrian thali soul. It has zunka, bhakar, ambadi bhaji, kothimbir vadi, sol kadi and bhoplyache bharit. The third slide includes a video in which Rujuta can be seen serving dishes on thali. For the caption, Karisma wrote, “Maharashtrian meal day,” with a bunch of emojis. She also mentioned the names of the delicacies and used the hashtag “Yum yum.”
For those unfamiliar, zunka bhakar is a combination of traditional curry and chapati. Ambadi bhaji is a curry made with ambadi leaves and kothimbir wadi is a crunchy snack. Sol kadi is like a digestive drink often served with Maharashtrian meals and bhoplyache bharit is made with pumpkin.
