Via Brian Webber: Ryan Garcia says he will put Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis to sleep on April 22 in their much-anticipated fight on Showtimes PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Ryan (23-0.19 KOs) met with the media on Tuesday to train and discuss his fight with his 136 lb dehydration clause. According to Ryan, Tank Davis (28-0.26 KOs) will step into one of his big hits, and it will be “nap time” for him.
It will be a huge win for Ryan if he can beat Tank and someone who will shake the boxing world. For Tank, it will be financially beneficial for him as there will be a rematch with Ryan.
If Tank wins, there won’t be any rematch unless the match is over or controversial. Fans won’t want to see Tank fight Ryan again if he wins because he’s already a favorite.
Tank, 28, is expected to start slowly as he usually does, and that will give Ryan a chance to score a quick knock-out. During Tank’s battles with Rolly Romero, Hector Garcia, and Mario Barrios, he didn’t commit his offense until midpoint of those battles.
If the Tank starts to slow down before Ryan, then it’s very likely that the Tank will be eliminated.
Ryan vows to “destroy” Gervonta
