Ryan Garcia wants fans to start hyping up Isaac Cruz’s fight
Author Max Schramm: Ryan Garcia has urged his millions of followers on social media to start promoting his potential WBC lightweight fight against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz after the Rights Council. World brother ordered the match on Tuesday.
Ryan wants his 9 million followers on social media to “bloat this” by spreading the word that he might be up against former 135 lb world title challenger Pitbull Cruz (23). -2-1 16 KOs) next.
Fans would probably have liked it if Ryan hadn’t scrapped the last two WBC-ordered championships ahead of Joseph ‘Jojo’ Diaz Jr. and Javier Fortuna last year.
Additionally, when Ryan beat Luke Campbell by a seventh-round knockout last June in a WBC belt knockout, he chose not to use his mandatory status to challenge champion Devin Haney. .
Given Ryan’s history of unfollowing WBC dropouts, you can’t blame his millions of followers if they choose to take a wait-and-see approach.
However, the fight between Garcia and Cruz still needs to be negotiated before it can become a reality. There is a wallet bid that will take place on June 14 if the two sides cannot negotiate an agreement by that time.
If the Garcia-Cruz showdown takes place, the winner will be the mandatory challenger to WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney.
Cruz was promoted by Al Haymon and Top Boxing Champion, while Ryan was managed by Golden Boy Promotion.
Pitbull Cruz (23-2-1, 16 KOs) has been sharp in his last three games against Yuriorkis Gamboa, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Francisco Vargas.
For his part, Ryan hasn’t been nearly as good in the last two games against Emmanuel Tagoe and Luke Campbell. In both of those matches, Ryan appeared to be easily hit and looked nervous in the face of any kind of pressure.
Ryan Garcia shared on social media: “As you can see, I just posted an interesting photo where the WBC ordered me and Pitbull Cruz to fight.
“I’ll try to get this to LA, but I need you guys blow this up like everything. Let the fans blow, let’s get the people hyped, and I’ll thank you all for the support, but let’s try and blow this up.
“Share and like it as much as you can and comment. Also, once this fight is signed, stamped and delivered, I will update you with the full match date, time and location, and I will keep you engaged along the way.” Ryan Garcia said.
“I’m so excited! This bout has just been ordered by the WBC, so there’s very little chance this man will escape his fate by stepping into the ring with me. Come on, ‘Pitbull, roof. Already’ time to make this happen. Don’t do anything weird, give the fans what they want! 🔥🥊,” Ryan Garcia said above Twitter.
