To prepare in advance, soak the makhanas in water for about 10-15 minutes, until they soften. Potatoes can also be boiled. If desired, you can use raw potatoes instead and cook them according to the recipe. Start with roasting cumin seeds, green peppers and peanuts in buffalo milk butter. Add potatoes and makhanas. Season with salt and chili powder to taste. Add some mango paste, cook everything together for about five minutes, and you’re done.
