Sam Houston, Lonely Star Registers for Race Day 2023

During Wednesday’s meeting of the Texas Racing Commission meeting, Parks General Manager Sam Houston Dwight Berube confirmed that the Houston area track will apply for 43 days of live racing in 2023, starting June 6. January 2023. The 2023 Texas live race schedule will be similar to 2022, as Lone Star Park has applied for 48 days.
While plans for an overall stake program have not been finalized, the 2023 race that meets at Sam Houston will feature the first $100,000 Texas Thoroughbred Species Association race. for graduates of the 2021 TTA Yearling Sale and the 2022 TTA Two-year-old in the Training Sale. The schedule will also include 10 Texas hybrid shares and two legs of Clarence Schaubauer, Jr. Texas Stallion S.
