After a few of laptops, in the form of the Galaxy Book Flex and Ion, have been flattered to fool, Samsung has shaken things up with a series of Galaxy Book Pro devices. Both the Pro and Pro 360 are no-frills machines with a focus on build quality in a slim chassis — and it worked. Now, Samsung is back with the next range, including a sequel to one of our favorite 2-in-1 devices, the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. The Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 is clearly not designed to be stunning, with a fairly standard clamshell design — and this was especially the case with the plain silver model I tested. Instead, it’s the device’s quality feel, which, together with its 11.9mm thinness and manageable weight of 3.11 pounds (1.4 kg), is worth appreciating. The burgundy and graphite options do half-heartedly try to make things a little more fun, though.
Unfortunately, the quality of the device is betrayed by a primary quality and a smaller nitpick. During my testing, the machine had some small marks below the screen. These markings aren’t all that noticeable, but, having only been shipped to and from a bag for just over a week, it’s disappointing to see them pop up so easily. The thinness of the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 is the main reason it performs well as a 2-in-1. When switched to tablet mode, it doesn’t feel cumbersome to hold and operate, and this is true for The 15.6-inch model I tested for this review, so I would expect the smaller 13.3-inch version to offer much more comfort in this regard. The consistently excellent S Pen is included with the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 range, and it works quickly and accurately in tablet mode. You can use it in tent or clamshell mode, but this isn’t where the stylus works best.

Like previous models, the screen quality is the biggest draw of this laptop. The screen is incredibly bright, incredibly colorful, and delivers impressive contrast. Some might be disappointed that Samsung is once again using a Full HD panel here, but the lack of pixels doesn’t tell the whole story. This AMOLED display is great. And, combined with the 360 hinge, it makes this a great device for watching movies and TV as well as viewing your own photos and videos.
The speakers add to the experience, with some of the best laptop audio around. The sound booms in the right places, even for a slim device, and retains detail and accuracy at high volumes. They’re not quite MacBook level, but they’re there with excellence Dell XPS Speakers.
The 16:9 display also helps deliver a cinematic experience, reducing the black bars that frame your favorite movies. However, this aspect ratio seems outdated along with some pretty heavy bezels, with the majority of Samsung’s competitors having switched to aspect ratios like 16:10 and 3:2. As a result, you’ll doesn’t get a productivity-friendly screen, powered by a taller screen that squeezes in more text.
The usability of the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 laptop as a tablet is a boon. It’s not a replacement for a square screen, but positioning the device in portrait mode, in tablet mode, gives you a very tall screen for navigating articles and scrolling social media. .
