Samsung Galaxy S22 Live image leak suggests redesigned camera module and glossy finish
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones in February next year. The lineup has been tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Now, an alleged live image of the base model – the Galaxy S22 – has surfaced. The phone in the photo has a design very similar to the design of the base model Galaxy S21. The difference comes in the form of a glossy finish compared to the Galaxy S21’s frosted glass back.
The picture is shared on Weibo by celebrity Ice Universe. In addition to the previously mentioned change from Galaxy S21, the Samsung Galaxy S22 seems to sport a redesigned camera module. Samsung seems to have mounted the camera lenses on a protruding oblong, unlike the S21 where the lenses are below the surface. Past Leakage has suggested that the base Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The main sensor is designed to combine with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Both smartphones are said to be equipped with 10-megapixel sensors.
Previously, it was Tip that the Galaxy S22 will be priced starting at $799 (about Rs 60,000). It is also rumored to feature a 6.06-inch display with full-HD+ resolution. Furthermore, this phone is said to have spot on the website of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The alleged FCC listing mentions that the Galaxy S22 will feature 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, along with Bluetooth and NFC support.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is also said to have been listed on the FCC website. Follow report, it is said to offer multi-band LTE, 5G NR, and Wi-Fi 6 support. In addition, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to support wireless charging.
