Scammers Swiped Rs 52,000 Off Man’s PhonePe Wallet, Arrested Next Day

Two males had been arrested for allegedly withdrawing over Rs 50,000 from the account of an individual by the e-wallet software PhonePe in north Delhi’s Burari space, police stated on Friday.
The accused have been recognized as Sanjay, 40, a resident of Mukundpur, and Rahul Dass, 24, a resident of Burari, they stated.
On November 3, one Sandeep Sharma had filed a criticism in regards to the lack of his cell phone.
On November 5 when he purchased a brand new telephone and activated the SIM card, he noticed that his PhonePe pockets was energetic and an quantity of Rs 52,860 was withdrawn by an unidentified individual, following which he filed a criticism on the Burari police station, a senior police officer stated.

The pan store proprietor saved part of the cash with himself and handed over the remaining in money to Dass, they stated.
The police stated the accused filed a report late as he thought that the telephone was misplaced and he would discover it.
The police recovered the cell phone of the sufferer and a brand new system value Rs 20,000 from the possession of Dass, they added.
