The 2022 Tony Award feels especially special on Sunday, June 13, with the widespread closure of in-person theaters due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadway’s biggest stars took to the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York, marking the industry’s official comeback. Jennifer Hudson had a great night when she joined a famous group of EGOT Winnerbecame the recipient of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.
The actress shimmered in a black Pamella Roland dress with a metallic bust and sweetheart neckline. The off-the-shoulder design, which sits flat in the spring 2022 ready-to-wear collection, is transformed into a maxi skirt for an undeniably elegant entrance. Hudson keeps her jewelry to a minimum, outfitted with small crystal studs, a sparkly ring, and elegant gold bracelets. She received a Tony Award for her production of “A Strange Loop,” which was named best musical at the ceremony.
Other fashion celebrities in attendance included Ariana DeBosewho held the 75th annual ceremony. (Real actress Oscar win for her incredible performance in the musical”West story“in March.) Styled by Zadrian Smith and Sarah Edmiston, she appeared in a black sequined BOSS dress. The design features a thigh-high slit, a midline slit and a deep neckline, finished with a long pendant necklace, several rings and a pair of Or & Elle crystal studs.
Jessica Chastainwho made a big impression in a soft pink Gucci coat while riding the train; Vanessa Hudgens, who wears a glamorous Schiaparelli Couture gown; Cynthia Erivo, who looks ethereal in a custom Giambattista Valli Couture suit; Sarah Paulson, who turns heads in a multicolored printed Moschino gown; and stunning Uzo Aduba in an off-the-shoulder gilded dress were also present at the anniversary event.
