“She is a tough girl. She’s a big girl,” Serrano said. “Tonight, she could be 160 or 165 pounds. Honestly, I’d prefer 133 or 134 pounds, but that doesn’t matter to me. She is a tough fighter. “I used my wrestling background to my advantage,” Williams said. “I just wanted to prove to myself that I can get out of here and do this. All the people that are talking on Instagram and Twitter, they are not going to walk in here in front of all these people and on PPV for their first battle. Hi Frank. He had a dream. He had a goal. In my mind, we both won tonight.”
Over the course of four rounds, Williams fired 48 of 156 punches thrown and Gore landed 38 of 166 punches thrown. Williams 6’3″, who holds the eight-inch reach advantage, also trails the 5’9″ Gore 35-28 team in power punches.
“All is well,” said Gore. “He won the fight tonight. He fought hard. I fought hard. I still have to learn some things. He did a great job tonight. We’ll see if I fight again. I had fun tonight. I’ll go back and talk to my team to see what’s next.”
In the PPV TV show’s opener, Australia’s Liam Paro (22-0, 13 KOs) recovered from an early knock to claim a decisive win over Puerto Rico’s Yomar Alamo (20-1-1, 12 KO) rigorously – 10-round base solder weight segment has been tested. However, Paro doesn’t panic and uses his activity, stabbing and attacking the body to string the loops together and build a lead he won’t give up. He holds an advantage of 497-333 in total punches thrown, 31-12 in landing punches, and 43-13 in total grounding punches. Two of the three judges who scored rounds two through six were in favor of Paro. Despite dropping rounds 9 and 10 on all three of the judges’ cards, Paro did enough to keep his unmarked record intact.
“I’m going back to Australia to relax, enjoy Christmas and come back to the gym next year to secure a world title,” Paro said.
