Shabana, Javed, Naseer part of ‘tukde tukde’ gang sleeper cell: MP minister | India News
BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Interior Minister Narottam Mishra on friday is called actor Shabana Azmi, her husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor Naseeruddin Shah are “the sleeping cell of the tukde-tukde gang”. He is answering a query about Shabana breaking TV interview about 11 convicts going free in Bilkis Bano rape case.
“People like Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Naseeruddin Shah are the sleeping umbrella of the tukde-tukde gang,” said Mishra, who is also a BJP government spokesman in the MP.
“When Kanhaiyalal ( Udaipur tailor) was killed, did she speak on the subject? Now a daughter has been burned alive in Jharkhand. Did she talk about that? No, she doesn’t. But if there is an incident in a BJP-ruled country, then Naseeruddin will feel ‘frightened to live in the country’ and an awarding gang will be active,” the interior minister said.
Shabana said in an interview that the release of 11 people sentenced to life in the Bilkis Bano rape case, under the Gujarat government’s amnesty policy, made her extremely embarrassed.
