Shorthand Los Angeles Rams Win Crucial NFC West Match Against Arizona Cardinals
GLENDALE, Ariz. – Rams hidden corner Jalen Ramsey returned to Los Angeles on a private jet after giving a positive COVID-19 test result, while closing tight Tyler Higbee left to wonder if he had coronavirus after a series of tests gave mixed results.
In the hours leading up to the match with The Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football, the Rams are scrambling to make roster changes after Ramsey and Higbee joined three other teammates on the/COVID-19 roster, keeping them out of the game.
But none of that proved to be important late game.
Taking down four starts in the sub/COVID-19 game, and after losing three of their previous four games, the Rams beat the Cardinals leading the division 30-23 and are now just behind them one game in NFC West after parting ways with the season series.
Rams improve to 9-4, while Cardinals decrease to 10-3.
Midfielder of Rams Matthew Stafford completed 23 of 30 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns.
Linebacker Ernest Jones and the person lining the outside Leonard Floyd once blocked a pass from a midfielder Kyler Murray, who finished 32 of 49 for 383 yards. The Rams converted both lessons into touchdowns.
The Rams have been devastated as they have been all season due to the coronavirus, causing a total of five players to miss Monday’s game.
“Wish I could play tonight,” Ramsey wrote on his Instagram page before the game. “I’m pissed but Go Rams tho defy! (I feel fine/normal) …”
Run back Darrell Henderson was put on the COVID list on Saturday, followed by right treatment Rob Havenstein and hidden corners Dont’e Deayon on Sunday.
Sony Michel started in Henderson’s absence and charged 79 yards on 20 attempts, and tackled the reserve Joe Noteboom began in Havenstein’s absence.
The Rams now return to Los Angeles, where they will play 5-8 Seattle Seahawks Football Team on Sunday at SoFi Stadium.
