The first pony of the 2-year-old European Champion and 3-year-old World Champion St Mark’s Basilica (dad) (Siyouni {Fr}) was born at Kiltinan Stud in Fethard, Co Tipperary, Ireland on 9 January. This foal has run out of Vital Force (Ire) (Invincible {Ire}) and is owned by by Natalma Bloodstock headed by John Ferguson.
Vital Force is the half brother of G2 Coventry winner Godolphin Buratino (Ire) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}) and comes from the immediate family of Danehill Dancer.
Donna Vowles, manager of Kiltinan said: “He is a good first pony with a good build to complement and a confident personality.
St Mark’s Basilica won six of the nine starts and made £2,196,080. He is a five-time group winner, which includes Champion Ireland S., Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains and Coral Eclipse S. He stands at Coolmore Stud in Ireland for a fee of €65,000.
