Steve Torrence tops qualifying in NHRA Northwest Nationals
Kent, Wash. – Steve Torrence led Friday’s Top Fuel qualifier in the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways.
Torrence ran 3,819 seconds at 321.50 mph in the NHRA’s first event at the track since 2019. The four-time defending champion this season.
“We’re very pleased to have done a nice and clean run and our boys are happy with that,” Torrence said. “It’s a good place to build and it’s good to be back here. We love coming here and I’ve enjoyed it. The fans are amazing and so appreciative that we’re here.”
Bob Tasca III took the lead in Funny Car and led Erica Enders in Pro Stock in the 13th of 22 events in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season and the final stop of the three-stage NHRA Western Swing.
After winning at Sonoma last weekend, Tasca hit 3,965 at 319.82 in the Ford Mustang. The final price has 6,608 at 209.26.
