Street Warriors vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action The set looks great
Fighting game fans and match fans rejoice! The combo you’ve envisioned in your head a hundred times – Street Fighter vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – is becoming a reality. That’s because Playmate Toys is releasing four SF vs TMNT character sets, and two coming later this year.
The corresponding four sets are:
- Ryu and Leonardo – leaders face
- Chun-Li vs. Michelangelo – authority versus pomp
- Guile vs Raphael – strength versus strength
- Ken Masters vs Donatello – restraint versus wisdom
Two movies releasing this fall are Ryu vs. Leonardo and Chun-Li vs Michelangelo, and then they’ll hit retail shelves. Unfortunately, as you can see above, those are the only two sets with pictures so far. As for the location, Playmate Toys didn’t say in today’s news, but it’s likely they’ll end up where Playmate Toys characters are usually sold near you.
“Each figure in the collection is six inches tall and can pose tall with multiple articulation points – from ball joints in the head, shoulders and hips, to elbows and knees, and at wrists, ankles, upper arms and thighs,” reads a press release. “Really decorated and detailed as seen in the video games Street Fighter II, Street Fighter vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are packaged in an 80s video game console window box packaging.
This collection, which includes four head-to-head matches between SF and TMNT, was created to celebrate Street Fighter’s 35th birthday, taking place this year.
