Tales of Symphonia Remastered Release Date Announced
Bandai Namco announced Tales of Symphonia Remastered will be released on February 17, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.
Tales of Symphonia follows Lloyd Irving and childhood friend Colette Brunel as they grapple with the horrors of living in a dying world. Along the way, they’ll add captivating new heroes to the group’s often tragic but resilient lineup and introduce a new generation of Tales Of fans into one of the earlier games that popularized role-playing mechanics. series action.
Today’s announcement shared a second look at the remastered experience in a new trailer, which Bandai Namco says will feature “improving visuals, gameplay improvements, and new features.” The Chosen Edition will be its only physical print and includes a metal case, art prints, and stickers.
Tales of Symphonia was originally released for the GameCube in 2003 but was later ported to PlayStation 3 and PC. Like in the first release, Tales of Symphonia Remastered will host a local co-op mode for up to four players, allowing friends to join as the battle begins.
The enhanced Tales of Symphonia experience was first revealed in September in Nintendo’s Last Live Showcase. The Gamecube classic was among the older titles in the presentation with the announcement of the changes, including the reveal for Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Death Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipseand Rune Factory 3.
