Tapit’s Fort Bragg ranks in heart-stopping Dwyer
Fort Bragg (c, 3, faucet–March X Press, by Shanghai Bobby), was dropped from GI Woody Stephens S. last month after a fever, almost overtaking the previously undefeated team Arabian crown (Always dreaming) to capture GIII Dwyer S. Saturday at Belmont Park.
The 3-5 favorites went smartly in third as the Saudi Crown overcame the opening quarter with a scoreline: 22.47. Up a second place after an eye-opening half-mile at: 44.63, Fort Bragg emerges boldly as the two hit the quarter-post. The Saudi Crown and Fort Bragg went head-to-head all the way, and after a long haul, Fort Bragg fought for a split victory in a race that didn’t deserve to be a loser. Harrodsburg (Structure) third.
Fort Bragg becomes the 160th bet winner/101st worldwide winner for the top bro faucet.
The final time for a one-way mile is 1:35.37.
