TERF awards $14,000 to Foundation for the Horse

Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) has awarded $14,000 to the Equine Foundation, a charity of the American Association of Equestrian Practitioners (AAEP), to be used for research entitled : “direct and indirect effects of platelet-rich plasma on neutrophil stimulation. ”
The Equestrian Foundation’s mission is to improve the health and welfare of horses, further enhance members’ professional growth, and provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry. . These principles have guided AAEP for more than six decades in the activities and services it provides.
In keeping with their mission to support and promote equine education through inclusion and participation, TERF will continue to offer their financial support into 2021.
TERF grants reflect the values set forth by founders Herb and Ellen Moelis. The current TERF Board of Directors includes Co-Chairs Kathleen Anderson DVM and James Orsini DVM, Margaret H. Duprey, Gretchen and Roy Jackson, Ellen and Herb Moelis, Wendy Moon, Anita Motion, Toni Orsini, Scott Palmer VMD, Josh Pons, Lucy Zungailia, Katelyn Jackson and Lynn Cassimeris, Ph.D.
