Tesla launches TeslaMic for its in-car karaoke system introduced as part of Chinese New Year software update
Tesla has released a microphone for its new in-car karaoke system, introduced as part of the Lunar New Year software update. TeslaMic and currently only available in China. The company tends to deliver year-end software updates with exciting features worldwide. This time around the Lunar New Year, Tesla decided to launch a physical product. The TeslaMic is a microphone designed to work with the Leishi KTV, a karaoke system that is also part of this update. The company seems to be working on the karaoke feature they introduced with the V10 2019 software update.
Tesla released a new software update 2022.2.1 in China to deliver a complete karaoke experience with TeslaMic. The new update allows Tesla owners to access the Leishi KTV interface and catalog through their EV’s built-in computer. According to the description provided by Tesla, the TeslaMic automatically pairs with the car’s computer and has several sound modes to assist the singer. Tesla also shared a demonstration video of software update 2022.2.1 on its official Weibo account. In the video, the TeslaMic can operate outside of a Tesla vehicle. Karaoke systems currently do not support third-party microphones. The TeslaMic is currently available for purchase on Tesla’s China store for CNY 1,199 (about Rs 14,000).
Tesla recently announced that it expects its vehicle deliveries to grow 50% year-over-year by 2022, although the company is expected to face persistent supply chain issues this year. The company outperformed its competitors in managing supply chain issues and managed to deliver a record number of vehicles in the last quarter. Elon MuskTesla CEO, has said that the company will postpone the rollout CybertruckSemi and Roadster through 2023.
