Bungie's latest Destiny 2 showcase is a major coup for its upcoming expansion, Final shape. While the studio has been relatively quiet about the expansion, this will close out the ten year story the studio has been telling since the first installment. When using the Prismatic subclass, players will see two gauges above their weapons and abilities that represent both Light and Dark. Final shape will also introduce a new type of exotic item that has the ability to steal perks from other exotic equipment and combine them into one super powerful item. This includes perks for exotics that were previously class-specific, meaning Titans will be able to steal abilities that were previously exclusive to Warlocks, and vice versa. Exotic perks on class items will be randomized, but Bungie hopes that the ability to combine them with stolen perks will encourage players to pursue perks as well as exotic gear to creating a groundbreaking combination of possibilities in the game. “We wanted it to feel a little broken,” said one developer.
Scary new enemy
