Nintendo announced last month that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask would be rolling out its subscription service Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in February. Now, we have an official release date.
Nintendo revealed in a tweet last night that Majora’s Mask will launch the service next week on February 25th. To help celebrate the news, a new trailer for Majora’s Mask has also been released and you can see below:

Nintendo has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service next month.
As usual, since Majora’s Mask is a Nintendo 64 game, you won’t be able to play it if you’re just a standard Nintendo Switch Online subscriber – you have to subscribe to the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier to play it, and other Nintendo 64 games were successful on the service. This news comes just a day after Banjo Kazooie, the rare platformer developed by the Nintendo 64, released an Expansion Pack and it looks like Majora’s Mask is the next major addition.
“Save Termina before it meets a terrible fate,” Nintendo’s tweet read. “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is coming to Nintendo Switch for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members in February.”
As for the timing, only Nintendo knows. If it aligns with a similar recent announcement, we’ll find out around February, possibly days before it hits the service. Nintendo announces that Banjo Kazooie is coming to the service back in december and then a month later, reveal its exact date just days before said date. Wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo did the same here.
Majora’s Mask is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, originally released in 2000. It’s a darker flip of Ocarina of Time, placing Link back in a familiar yet eerie place. called Termina. After the Skull Kid, under Majora’s Mask’s control, sends him there, Link must stop the moon from crashing into Earth. Oh, and he repeats the same three days in an effort to stop evil once and for all. It’s currently available on Nintendo 64, Wii, and WiiU. Plus, it was remade on the Nintendo 3DS.
