The Parliamentary Budget Session will begin January 31 in two parts

The Parliamentary Budget session will begin January 31 following the President’s address to both houses. The session – organized in two parts – will end on 8 April, on the recommendation of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs. The Economic Survey will be presented on January 31, followed by a presentation of the Union Budget on February 1. The President will also address both houses of Congress assembled together on January 1. at 11 a.m. on January 31.
The Union Budget will be located in the Rajya Sabha after its presentation at the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 11 a.m., according to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present Budget 2022 in the upper house.
The first half of the budget session will run from January 31 to February 11. After a month-long break, the second half of the session will begin on March 14 and end on March 8. April.
Holi will not sit on March 18.
Recently, more than 400 congressional staff have tested positive for COVID-19. Therefore, President Rajya Sabha and President Lok Sabha have reviewed the situation and have given instructions to both chambers to prepare a plan for the smooth functioning of both chambers for the Parliamentary budget session.
