Indie developer Neal Agarwal, better known as Neal.fun, makes video games that are very small but also very cool. his latest, Password Gameis a perfect example: it takes the work of figuring out the password for an app or website’s account and somehow turning it into something as far from hell as possible.
It starts off like the worst part of all account creation processes: asking you to create a password. Only the password you choose does not have enough capital letters. Then when it doesn’t have enough special characters. Then it’s not long enough. That’s too long. And the whole time it never told you anything about this, it just thought you would. know.
“Let Google pick your password, why are you complaining about this in a blog about a little video game” Okay, but after that, a lot of times Google saves passwords with the wrong username. attachments or weird app URLs don’t match company/website names and it’s hard to find saved passwords, and basically what I’m saying is that I used to laugh at my parents for wrote all their internet passwords in a notebook but now I can see maybe they had a point a long time ago.
