The Speedrunning Neon White platform is coming to PlayStation later this month
Angel Matrix has announced that their first-person platformer game will launch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 13.
The PlayStation 5 version will run at 120hz. “When precision matters, high frame rates make all the difference. We also took full advantage of the system’s SSD to significantly reduce load times.” Game director Ben Esposito says.
“It is important that restarting levels is as quick and painless as possible. If you want to beat your friends’ leaderboard time, you’ll have to start the levels over and over again.”
The game will also take advantage of the PS5 DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers as players use each of their Soul Cards to progress through the many levels and puzzles it has to offer.
“You’ll feel it as you move faster across the water, and you’ll get a subtle confirmation when successfully sniping a distant demon,” Esposito said. The DualSense controller will also support gyroscope targeting.
White neon was first released on Nintendo Switch and PC on June 16. Be sure to check out some Tips to start the game before the launch of the PlayStation.
In IGN neon white review, we said, “Neon White is a fast and engaging first-person platformer that is surprisingly easy to understand and play, but at its core is a very extreme speed-running challenge.”
