This is why Selma Blair quit dancing with the stars
On this night, no one had dry eyes in the ballroom.
October 17 episode of Dancing with the stars delivered the season’s most inspiring performer finale — and one final dance.
Like Selma Blair, who competed in the show after her MS diagnosis in 2018stepped into the rehearsal studio to prepare for her routine with her partner Sasha FarberShe’s got some hard-to-break news.
Selma told Sasha: “You know, I was monitored and communicated with my doctors during this whole process. “I’ve had these MRIs. The results have come back and it all adds up to the fact that I can’t continue the competition. I tried as hard as I could.”
Selma explained that if she continued, she would risk much damage to her body, but vowed to use it as a learning experience for her. her 11 year old son Arthurtold Sasha, “I’m going to have to settle down and go back to being a mom and show him that I have to back off about something that I love to do and sometimes you make tough decisions.”
However, not so discouraged, Selma said: “I really want to have one last beautiful dance with you guys.”
And that’s exactly what she did.
Set to “What the world needs now,” Selma and Sasha danced a beautiful waltz that brought the whole ballroom to its feet and practically everyone in the ballroom reaching for the nearest tissue.
