This opera singer starts the day with homemade green juice. Here’s how he can improve it
Opera singer Diego Torre, 43, shares his day on disc.
6 a.m Tea, then homemade green juice with ginger, kale, pineapple, celery, green apple and lemon.
9 am A long black with toast.
1 pm A Reuben sandwich before going to costume and rehearsal. I hydrate all day and avoid eating anything before the show. The digestive process can be uncomfortable when singing.
6:30 p.m A cup of coffee.
23:30 After performing for three hours, I made a Mexican dish called alambre with beef, bell peppers, onions, bacon, lemon, and melted cheese.
Dr Joanna McMillan says:
Top score for… Your green juice, as this provides most of your fruit and veg for the day. However, it is better to grind this blend instead of juicing it, to make sure you retain all the fiber and nutrients, or else more fiber will be lost in the extract. Same goes for the top score, to stay hydrated.
