Tomb Raider (2013) Definitive edition released on PC after 10 years
A 2014 remake of the port Tomb Raider (two thousand and thirteen) is finally available on PC via a quiet launch on the Microsoft Store.
Some background. In 2013, Crystal Dynamics developed one Tomb Raider The reboot features a younger Lara Croft surviving a dangerous island adventure. That game was originally released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Then, in 2014, a remastered and slightly improved port of the reboot was released on PS4 and Xbox One titled Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. However, PC players never received this updated remaster. But now, a decade later, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is available on PC with little fanfare.
On April 24, as discovered by Redditthe Definitive edition of rebooting Tomb Raider has been obscured on Microsoft Store with seemingly zero warnings or notifications. I do not receive emails. Kotaku did not receive email. And official inspection Tomb Raider Twitter account, the most recent tweet I saw was promoting a…duck version of Lara?
Perhaps the reason no one has officially announced this news is because according to people who have played it Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition On PC it's quite messy. People have reported issues starting the game as well as missing animations, difficult physics, performance issues, and other issues.
Kotaku contacted Tomb Raider Crystal Dynamics developer about the portal.
However, for now, it seems Definitive edition Still not ready for PC showtime. Hopefully it can be patched and released on Steam for this version Tomb Raider (2013) can be made available to more people.
But I also hope that the original version of the game that is currently for sale on Steam will not be removed from the store as many players may prefer that version and mods as it will probably not work with the port new. For now, we can only wait and see. I guess you could also buy a duck version of Lara Croft if you wanted. I won't do that.
