“Tomb Raider Reloaded takes players on an action-packed adventure as they take on the role of breakout hero Lara Croft on her swan-diving, cliff-climbing, upside-down quest to retrieve an ancient Scion artifact , clears ever-changing rooms filled with new and familiar enemies as well as dangerous traps and puzzles,” the press release reads. Along the way, they’ll receive run-specific boosts along with permanent bonuses, like XP modifiers, runes that improve Lara’s stats, and manuals to unlock and upgrade her outfit, such as the fan-favorite bomber jacket.
“As players progress through each level, they can stack perks to enhance Lara’s abilities and even craft weapons to upgrade her arsenal.”
Kelley Hawes, who voiced Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, will return as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider has reloaded.
This new mobile game is the first roguelike game in Tomb Raider history, and it will take players to locations from other games in the franchise such as Vilcabamba City, The Lost Valley, and St. Francis’ Folly. It will also feature characters like Winston, Anaya Imanu, and even Werner Von Croy.
To ensure Tomb Raider Reloaded is of the right level of quality, Emerald City Games co-developed the game with franchise owner Crystal Dynamics. Emerald City Games will feature rotating daily and weekly challenges, events like Temple of the Sun, where players must stand up to waves of enemies, and other modes like Tomb Exploration that bring in extra treasure treasure for each milestone reached, to keep players coming back to roguelike often.
Tomb Raider Reloaded will launch on February 14th.
